Yes, finished the Messiah dies, \ncut off for sins, but not His own; \ncompleted is the sacrifice, \nthe great redeeming work is done.\nYes, finished all the debt is paid, \njustice divine is satisfied, \nthe grand and full atonement made: \nGod for a guilty world has died.\n\nThe temple curtain is torn down, \nthe living way to heaven is seen; \nthrough Christ the middle wall has gone \nand all who will may enter in.\nThe ancient shadows are fulfilled, \nthe Law’s harsh sentence is applied,\nthe sinless Lamb of God is killed,\nthe covenant is ratified.\n\nThe reign of sin and death is done, \nand all may live, from sin set free; \nSatan and his pretended throne \nare swallowed up in victory.\nSaved from the curse of God I am; \nmy Saviour hangs upon a tree, \nsee there the meek and silent lamb; \nHis final breath He breathes for me.\n\nIn Christ accepted and brought near \nand clothed in righteousness divine, \nI see the path to life made clear, \nand all Your merits, Lord, are mine. \nDeath, hell and sin are now subdued \nall grace is now to sinners given,\nand so I plead the atoning blood\nand by Your gift, receive Your heaven.
